Preach! We did a super small low key afternoon wedding, 35 people, vintage dress, nacho buffet, open bar beer/wine, and a couple small interesting non-wedding cakes. Grand total was under 2k. Did a wedding social after (basically a big party, it’s a Manitoba thing usually done a few months before the wedding, not the same day). Some extended family were a bit crusty, and we for sure got fewer gifts (which we didn’t actually want!) but we have no regrets!
